When we checked in, we asked the hotel staff to show us the room first then, we found out the family suite room is dark and at the back side of the hotel so we
request them to change for us. They asked us to pay more for having upgraded Place suite room. We told them, we stayed there more than one week, then the
reception staff asked her supervisor who was very comprehensive and cooperative. She has upgraded us to Palace suite on 13th floor when we came in, so noisy because of the restaurant on 14/Fl then, they changed for us on 8/fl. The staff are very helpful and the bell boys are very polite also. Will recommend to our friends this hotel. Thanks.

I liked the renovated room and cuisine very much.

For what I had paid I was most impressed with this Hotel. You could not really be in a more central position. The staff were courteous and helpful and the room was far better than I would have expected (de-luxe king-size bed I think). The adjoined bar/diner was also very friendly with good service and friendly welcoming staff. Definitely one I would recommend to friends.

I have now stayed twice.. in 2004 & 2005, I like the fact its a homely type of hotel, right in the main street.. no huge walks thru empty foyers to get to a lift, all close and convenient. Rooms are good and well equipped. Would recommend it to any business or vacationing traveler who wants a nice placeto stay but does not need to spend money on monster marbel stair cases. Very historic too.. GIVE IT A GO..!
